Howard’s status unknown tonight in Washington
January 20th, 2010 | by crstuckey |Josh Howard has started the past four games since regaining his role as the starting shooting guard. As it stands right now, Howard may not be starting tonight when the Mavs take on the Wizards.
Rick Carlisle informed the media in Washington today that Howard is not feeling well and did not participate in morning shootaround.
Howard is coming off a dismal offensive performance in Boston on Monday. He one-of-five shooting from the field with only three points in 31 minutes. Missing time is the last thing Howard needs at this point.
If Howard cannot go tonight, J.J. Barea will most likely get the call to return to the starting lineup. Barea played only six minutes in Monday’s 99-90 victory over Boston.
