Welcome to MavsBall.com
June 3rd, 2009 | by crstuckey |First off, I would like to welcome everyone to Mavsball.com. Thank you for dropping in. Mavs Ball is a division of the Fanball Blog Network. Mavs Ball (The Ball) is here year around to cover all things Dallas Mavericks. In time, the Ball will hopefully become your #1 source for all things Dallas Mavericks.

I will be manning the wheel of Mavs Ball and serving as your correspondent for the Mavericks. I am committed to providing you with unique, insightful and sometimes humorous perspectives on any and all news pertaining to your Dallas Mavericks. I am going to hook you up with links to the latest news stories about the Mavs and interviews with some of the best basketball minds North Texas (and the country) has to offer.
Who am I? Great question.
My name is Chris Stuckey. I am a native Texan and a lifelong Mavs fan. Bryan Douglass, blogger extraordinaire and author of both the Denver Nuggets and Denver Broncos Fanball blogs, recruited me to be the designated Mavs correspondent for Fanball. My passion for sports writing and love of the Dallas Mavericks led to an immediate yes. To me, it was a no-brainer. Hopefully, we can both get some enjoyment out of this venture.
As all of you know, the NBA offseason isn’t covered in the same manner as the NFL. Many could argue that there in fact is no offseason when it comes to the NFL. The four lettered sports network always finds a way to incorporate Brett Favre or Tom Brady’s knee or even the latest news on why <insert player’s name> is disgruntled today. At the Ball, there is no offseason when it comes to the Dallas Mavericks. So buckle up and be ready for some hot opinions and all the news you can handle.
I want to encourage everyone to read and comment. I want this blog to be extremely reader interactive. If you think I couldn’t be more right, if you think I’m a complete moron, if you think I must have experimenting with recreational drugs before writing a blog post, please tell me. You can hit me up in the comments section (I will read EVERY comment left), on Facebook, on my personal Twitter or the official Mavs Ball Twitter, MySpace, AIM or even shoot me an old fashioned email. Needless to say, I am quite accessible.

This fledgling blog needs all of the support that it can get. Please tell your friends, family, neighbors, enemies, coworkers, classmates, cellmates or anyone else you possibly think of. Heck, if you’re sitting in Starbucks one day reading the Ball and you see a bum sitting outside with an empty cup begging for change, go outside and tell him that you’ll give him a dollar if he comes inside, reads the latest post on Mavs Ball and comments. No worries…simply let me know and I’ll send you two dollars for your trouble.

In the upcoming posts, we will hit on the 2008-2009 season, the fast approaching draft, wants/needs/hopes and who knows what else. Hopefully we’ll have an interview or two pretty soon as well.
Thanks for taking the time to subject yourself to my blog introduction. I hope you will come back and check out what all Mavs Ball has to offer. Until next time, subscribe to any or all of my social networking endeavors.
E-mail, Twitter (Mavs Ball), Twitter (personal), Facebook, MySpace and Digg
Peace. Be good.
