Take a hike Nolan, Cuban should own the Rangers


As most of you know by now, Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban has been identified as a possible bidder for the Texas Rangers. The Rangers ownership situation is an absolute mess. Tom Hicks was the owner but was forced to file bankruptcy thus having a bankruptcy court decide the future of the franchise. High finance is not an area of expertise for myself but I have learned something throughout following the process: bankruptcy court is complicated, confusing and not good for a swift ownership resolution.

Shawn Marion at power forward?


As the roster is currently constructed, your Dallas Mavericks have only one power forward – Dirk Nowitzki. The trade that brought Tyson Chandler to Dallas also sent Dirk’s backup, Eduardo Najera, packing. Najera wasn’t the greatest backup by any means but he was another body.

Now that we have the whole LeBron decision out of the way, we can get to the offseason news that really matters. Your Dallas Mavericks are good but some moves are needed if they want to compete with the likes of the Los Angeles Lakers and Miami Heat. I guess you could say they started that process on Monday.
